Ryan Lovelace’s Kickstarter project is coming down to the wire. If you have a little cash to spare and would like to be a part of a great project which is going to support a great cause then head over to this link. Ryan is trying to build a line of eco-friendly surfboards to highlight sustainability in the surfboard manufacturing industry. He will then be donating the profits to the Save Naples Coalition, a small group of people helping to protect one of the last areas of privately owned coastline on the Gaviota coast from major development.
Rad, thanks! I really enjoy checking your blog and love seeing the handplanes you’re making. I especially like your custom tray. If you’re ever in California hit me up so we can shred some waves and talk shop.
Blast!

I went to the Handplane Hoedown on Saturday and had a great time. I’ve never seen so many bodysurfers in the line up at the same time. It was a pretty amazing site. The vibe was super positive and I’m pretty sure everyone’s stoke meter is overflowing. Thanks goes out to Gary from Brownfish for organizing the event. Oh and thanks to Christine for letting me try out one of her Whomp handplanes which was insane! Check out my pictures of the event here.
Driftwood Collective is in their own words, “a group of friends, craftsmen and artists that don´t take themselves too seriously”. I like the sound of that. Check out this rad looking board they shaped from a broken Longboard. Sounds like a “making of” video is in the works. Keep an eye on their site.
This one is called The Solstice and will soon be available for purchase on Korduroy.tv 2.0. Inspired by the Solstice Mixtape. Download it here and lose your mind for a few hours!
Korduroy 2.0 is coming!!
I’m stoked to be a part of the Makers section on the new Korduroy.tv website. Stay tuned for the official launch date and in the meantime watch the sweet video Cy and friends put together. Blast it!!
Epic handtray!
Stolen from the Slopgroveller blog which by the way is pretty rad!
